i saw an advertisement in a bridal magazine...i think it was for David's Bridal, not sure, but there were red
shoes on the bride...they were closed toe, with a strap at the ankle..maybe the color was ruby...with some gold flecks. i really love them and would completely enjoy wearing them when i get married in october...please help...i NEED these shoes!!!

Everyone knows Red is absolutely sexy and wonderful for shoes. They can be so passionate and vibrant! Full of energy and lust! Some styles of shoes in RED can even be to die for!! However, I would really recommend against getting red shoes for your wedding and to reconsider...
There are a few simple reasons why:
1) If you have a beautiful and elaborate dress, you want the attention to be focused on your dress! Especially if the dress flatters your body, etc. Having red shoes on a beautiful dress is a sure way to distract people from the details in you and your dress and to steal your spotlight. Your wedding day should be your day to shine and glow! (which i think is why weding dresses have always been in light colors!).
2) if you have a simple dress, then it's a good idea to keep things simple as well so to make sure you look elegant and pristine! That is a great look going on in wedding dresses today. So a red shoe would really take away from the elegance and simplicity.
3) if you have a so so dress, then one way to make u stand out more might be to accessorize with jewelry.
It is not that i'm conservative in fashion, I'm TOOTALLY not, but to make sure you look your absolute best I think these are simple rules to adhere by.
Ideally, If you want your sense of style in shoes to get noticed, I would recommend considering silver colors or gold colors, which are VEERY popular, even shoes with Blue Insoles (for that something Blue) like the ones by Grazia Collection can be an exciting choice, adding variety and uniqueness.
Another choice is finding shoes that have rhinestones and sparkle. That attracts a lot of attention while complimenting your dress. Also I would recommend keeping your shoes darker than your dress, as lighter shades will take the spotlight away from your dress. And would advice not to try to match EXACTLY to your dress, but create a bit of darker contrast.
Ok after all that, if you STILL are looking for red shoes,... sigh...
Maybe look into Salon Shoes (though they are particularly made for Bridesmaids many brides chose them as they are really good quality and super comfortable - an easily overlooked aspect when looking for bridal shoes) They make them in all colors. and they have some beautiful styles.
